Self-Employed Mortgages

Being self-employed comes with many responsibilities. The last thing you need is to worry about whether you can get a mortgage.

How To Get a Mortgage When Self-Employed

When you’re self-employed and you want to buy a home, you fill out the same mortgage application as everyone else. Mortgage Llenders also consider the same things when you’re a self-employed borrower: your credit score, how much debt you have, your assets and your income.

As a self-employed person, the lender will look at accounts and your latest tax returns to work out how much you are able to borrow, this can include dividends, salary and in some cases your net profit if you own or a director of a  limited company.
